With a rich Caribbean heritage and a commitment to quality, West Jam is the brainchild of Jamaican-Canadian businessman, culinary and agro-food processing enthusiast Shawn West. The brand came out of a desire to share the most exquisite, pure and undiluted flavours of the Caribbean with the rest of the world. Founded in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, West Jam is the manifestation of a vision to bring the best flavours of the idyllic tropical islands to the tables and palates of North Americans.  

Through his gourmet jams, West has captured the vibrance and energy of the Caribbean to delight and engage consumers well beyond those sun-kissed shores. This self-made businessman started with a simple love of being in the kitchen creating new dishes and has now expanded that passion into a line of authentic West Indian products that are free from preservatives and artificial flavours.  

The West Jam line of gourmet products began with the distinct and very unique jackfruit flavour, which was lovingly created for the first time in 2006 as West completed formal studies at culinary school in Jamaica. Inspired and supported
by his grandmother, West excelled, generating revenue and winning awards for
his delectable jams. West Jam is now available on shelves in North America,
creating not just moments of culinary delight, but also generating employment
opportunities for young people and the means to give philanthropic support to
the community.
